Gdańsk, ul. Ogarna 106/108
The artist Jacek Wielebski working on this building had a large range of possibilities. It is one of the few houses on the Main Town, with such small reference to the historical buildings. Its wide flat surfaces, and further highlighted by cornices levels, represent in this case the perfect canvas for his work involving the game of color and plaster texture. Using windows openings as elements to generate geometric pattern he captures the light imperfections of non perfect symmetry of the facades. That extension of the lines breaks and complicate creating a graphic composition. With gentle range od colors and strong lines the fasadę ceases being so monotonous and stop strike from the surrounding because od its ahistorical character.
